Drink air as a blessing

The eye is an asteroid floating symmetrically at the limits of the brain’s galaxy.

A planet in need of a geographical outline populated by a poetic flora and/fauna where man can drink air as a blessing. The inner ear is a funnelic labyrinth that in more than one way enters the human cavity. A place in want of minotauric Ariadnas that sing in it, speak and blow the winds of resonance and provide silence, where all that is possible and even the non imagined dwell.

A screen that establishes in its display the creation of massive reality, cultural transformation by artistic transmission conscious enrichment through the poetic audio-visual.

No Time Like The Present/ Robert Ladislas Derr/ U.S., 3min21sec/ HD

Since everything is confined to its own temporal existence, there is no time like the present. I spin

with each word in the title at 8am on Monday, 11am on Tuesday, 2pm on Wednesday, 5pm on Thursday, and

8pm on Friday. The momentary present immediately becomes the past.

PATINA/ Monika Deimling & BBB Johannes Deimling/ Germany-Poland, 24min32sec/ HD

In a continuous framing the existing, framing the object in a territory between photography,

performance and video, Monika Sobczak and BBB Johannes Deimling compose and frame up still images

letting then things, nature and our own existing happen in it. The stillness of the images is broken through a

playful illusion, in a delicate way of seeing, perceiving and projecting images.

Belle Époque/ Kim Hanul/ South Korea, 5min41sec/ HD

Belle Époque is a silent film where expressive images swirl over language. Its digital formality

monumentalizes the openness of mixing both found and shot footages, transmitting affective information at an

intensified velocity. The abstract passes through the body and leaves a particular image, exploring the

understructure of image between cognition and expression.

1 Blue Pixel/ Dénes Ruzsa & Fruzsina Spitzer/ Hungary, 8min45sec/ HD

Man is floating on the edge of the macro and the micro world. Human tries to uncover

the rules of the micro world behind the macro world. The video was inspired by a historic photo

made by Voyager-1 spacecraft in 1990. The spacecraft was 6 billion kilometers away from Earth.

The title of the photo is Pale Blue Dot. The size of the Earth is less than one pixel. Just a tiny blue

dot in the black infinity.

Sun/ Omstar Otar & Mashtalir Taras/ Norway- Russia, 5min36sec/ HD

Ottar Ormstad is reading Norwegian family names starting with ‘sol’ as sound poetry to the music of

Taras Mashtalir and visualization by Ormstad and Yan Kalnberzin. How do names and language relate to the

atmospheric scapes Kalnberzin creates of geometric forms and abstract shapes?

de.cadence/ Marisol Bellusci & Luis Saray/ Argentina- Colombia, 2min/ HD

Operating on vestiges of analogical film, this piece goes from being just a material object to being

a reformed film through the appropriation of one medium on another (photo / video), going from analog

material to digital information.

Found footage used in a videographic way, to form an object of hybrid aesthetics and recycling manners for

the experimental resignification of a comercial movie with a script about couple relationships deconstructing

and reconfiguring its narrative.
